29 and 12 Months, The Smokey Mountain Trip

I just turned 29 and 12 months ...some just call it 30.

Yep, it's a big milestone in life, and honestly, I was feeling a bit dramatic about the whole thing in my own head. You know, all the normal fears like wheel chairs, hearing aids, a high fiber diet. It was all coming too fast! But in all seriousness, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I turned 29 and 12 ... 30 (rolls eyes). I guess I made a bigger deal of it than it really turned out to be. Of course Christlyn was her normal supportive self, but isn't one to let an opportunities to crack a few Hoverround and LifeAlert jokes go to waste, so... What a jerk!

For me, going to the mountain with my brothers is just about the best experience on the planet. We’ve been going ever since we were little kids with our Dad and Grandparents. We've kept up the fun even as we've grown up and I think it has a lot to do with why we're so close now. It’s one of those things I imagine when I close my eyes and wish I was someplace far away from my “problems” (first world ones). Mountains! My twin brother Taylor's wonderful and generous girlfriend (Emily) booked a cabin for all of us to enjoy over the weekend. Gatlinburg in The Smokey Mountains, what a great experience! She's such an awesome person, like for realz! We all went for a hike on the Rainbow Falls Trail near Mount Le Conte. The waterfall at the end of the hike is simply stunning!

And now... pictures, pictures, pictures!!!
